Welcome friends to WeWriWa and the snippets o' eight. I think this will be my last week to share on this scene...we've had so much fun with Ena, Ardan, Rowan and Ravyn!
Last week, Ena teased Rowan about trying to use a shillelagh to attack a dragon. If you've forgotten what happened last week, you can find it here!
Ena
sniffed, insulted. “Princess Ravyn is my
friend. I do not harm my friends.”
“Well
then, do ye harm Princess Ravyn’s friends?”
Ena
smiled, her sharp teeth glittering in the afternoon sun. “I had thought I’d get to try seafood,” she
chuckled, “but I suppose I can have it another day. I’ve never tried Selkie before.”
Ronan
gulped and took a half step back.

Thank you. It's hard not to overdo it...
DeleteDitto on the dialect. The last couple lines made me chuckle! Selkie, indeed! Nice 8, Millie! :-)
ReplyDeleteThere're lots of fun creatures in Aigerach!
DeleteNot all are on Ena's diet, though she teases...
"I've never tried Selkie before." Love it! Great snippet!
ReplyDeleteEna's a bit of a tease : )
DeleteHa! Nice snappy exchange - great dialogue and a great snippet.
ReplyDeleteLOL- Love the dialogue!
ReplyDelete~Decadent
Why thank you : ) Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteLol, the last two lines are perfect! I actually giggled out loud!
ReplyDeleteYay! My job here is done : )
DeleteNot only that, but I can visualize this easily. So the excerpts are well put together! Now I'm curious about what you'll post next time.
ReplyDeleteHmm...I haven't decided if I'll post from Return of the Crown (already published) or give you a taste of something different from Zelera's revenge...
DeleteMade me smile! Very skillful scene, so amusing...terrific snippet!
ReplyDeleteThank you. Your comment made me smile!
DeleteLoving the dialogue. Well done. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks heaps.
DeleteEna is such a character and I will miss seeing her in your snippets... but I'm also looking forward to new adventures ahead! She has such personality and you did a great job with the dialogue - thanks so much for these dragon episodes - I really enjoyed them! :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you've had a good weekend - more wake-boarding?
Ah, this weekend is catch up, no wake-boarding. Maybe Standup Paddleboarding if time permits...we'll see. I hope you enjoy future snippets as much as past...
Deletehmm but maybe in the future? cute 8
ReplyDeleteMaybe, but since he's Ravyn's friend...
DeletePerhaps he should take a whole step back. She has sharp teeth. :)
ReplyDeleteHe's scared but still brave...and these dragon's could've eaten him at any time if they'd wanted to. Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteFun snippet. Enjoyed the dialog and concise writing.
ReplyDeleteThank you Cara, I appreciate that!
DeleteThat settles it. Selie for dinner tonight. Delightful eight, Millie.
ReplyDeleteThanks, poor Selkie's they'll know to steer clear of you : )
DeleteSelkie sushi, love it! Great characterization through dialogue. :D
ReplyDeleteThank you Monica! Glad you enjoyed!
DeleteDragons have a singular sense of humor, don't they? XD
ReplyDeleteEna does : )
DeleteWitty snippet, fun and well written!
ReplyDeleteThanks! Glad you enjoyed.
DeleteFunny dragon, I loved it. Made me chuckle at the seafood joke. :)This is a very clever story line.
ReplyDeleteHistory Sleuth's Milk Carton Murders
Aw, thanks so much! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
DeleteHey! Thanks for dropping by and reminding me that I was late getting my snippet up this week. It's there now! :-]
ReplyDeleteI'll check it out : )
DeleteYou had me chuckling. Seafood...too funny. Great 8!
ReplyDeleteThanks : ) Rowan doesn't think it's so funny, but he'll live.
DeleteI like Ena more every week. She's a really interesting and funny character.
ReplyDeleteWell thank you. She makes sure her voice is heard : )
DeleteThis is very cute and definitely makes me want to come back for more. Great job!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! Please come back, I'll keep trying to dish it up!
DeleteDelicious little, ahem, cliffhanger there, really well done considering it's just eight sentences. I'll be back for more!
ReplyDeleteThank you Robbie, it was nice to meet you this week!
DeleteShe's sharp in more than just her teeth. Lovely, intriguing snippet.
ReplyDeleteThat's my girl Ena.
DeleteFantastic exchange! I know it's good when I find myself smiling as I read. :)
ReplyDeleteYay, smiles are my favorite : )
DeleteEna's quite a dragon.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sue Ann, hope you are feeling better soon!
Delete*Snicker* Seafood... Nothing like someone big enough to eat you threatening to do so. Best to watch your manners around dragons!
ReplyDeleteYup, she's got some serious self-restraint. If I'm near sushi...well, I can't say he'd have been safe if I was a dragon : )
DeleteAt least he has the answer to his question. :D
ReplyDeleteSafe!
DeleteSelkie! lol Love the humor and the description of her sharp teeth. Great 8!
ReplyDeleteSelkie's are so darn cool, so are dragons!
DeleteGreat scene! I loved the dialogue. Well done on the 8! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Evelyn, I appreciate that!
Delete: ) Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThere's such a great humor to this. It's hard not to smile while reading.
ReplyDeleteThanks : ) I'm so glad you enjoyed!
